A lot goes into styling a bedroom shoot – the sheets have to look smooth but lived in, the pillows need to be fluffed and the quilt covers need to fall just so. That’s a tug here, a little pat there and a whole lot of zhushing!
You may have noticed we have some beautiful new pics of our bedding. We had so much fun making it look all pretty so we thought we’d share a little snippet with you.
We worked with the lovely Louise from Villa Styling – based in Brisbane, she’s the go to for creating a simple, effortless feel in any room. Our brief was simply for her to showcase our bedding, keeping it fun and with our mix and match more than ever vibe shining through. Mission accomplished don’t you think?
The behind the scenes action…
We rocked up at Louise’s studio in the morning and unpacked all of our bedding, as well as some lovely props from some talented artists and makers. Rugs and wall hangings and baskets and bowls, as well as few of our own little treasures. Louise also has a room full of beautiful things, and we were like kids in a candy store (actually we both used to work in a candy store once – but that’s a whole other story!)
Next we chatted about life and the universe before getting down to business. Louise is a complete natural at choosing things that all work together and she worked quickly and easily to create each look. She did some zhushing. And a bit more zhushing. All to make it look just so! And we helped by making beds, smoothing sheets, fluffing pillows and (hopefully) not getting in the way (too much). We even took a little video so you can see…
And at the end of the day we had created about 10 looks – some mixed, some matched, and all just lovely 💛
